For shopping, Canadian Tire is not to bad. Pretty great selection. For Mechanical service, I can say as a person who works on cars, their "mechanics" are to be avoided. I had a tight schedule and decided to book a vehicle inspection here as they had the time. That day. They failed the vehicle for 3 completely frivolous and incorrect thing's. Without fixing anything I brought the car to another garage which immediately passed the vehicle fully. Canadian tire mechanical services are at best a poor money grab, and at worst can be bad for your vehicle. Would recommend you try a dedicated shop instead for quality service.

Took 10 min to price match to national retailer website, and in the end, the service desk staff cannot be sure because she searched CT website and a different model number is listed from the actually product (while the competitor website matches the model number of the in store product). Was told to wait for the manager, who already spend 5 minutes having trouble finding a product on their own website for another customer. It was a $15 price match, left without purchase to avoid further time wastin'

If I could give this place zero stars I would!! Service department is awful, PLEASE don't let them trick you into getting any type of work done. They tried to tell me that my out of province vehicle needed an 1800 brake job in order to pass the inspection! Took it to another shop and they gave me a cautionary pass.. but still a pass!!! They didn't require me to get new brakes in order to pass me! They just told me I needed to get the brakes done soon! DO NOT GO HERE! This type of establishment is what tarnishes the names of the mechanics who actually charge fairly AND are honest. These crooks try and sell me a brake job... for EXTREMELY over priced and low quality brakes when I called NAPA and priced out good brakes that were only a fraction of the cost higher.. Don't give them a cent of your hard earned money. ALSO! The service manager is extremely rude. Just skip them all together.

Steer clear of the automotive department! It took them 2 1/2 days after I dropped of my tire just to tell me it was "not repairable because the hole was in a non repairable location". What makes it non repairable? "Because I said so" was the only answer I got. They didn't even have the consideration to call to say they couldn't fix it. I found out when I showed up to collect the tire the day after they phoned to say the tire was ready for pickup. Who is running this place!? I took the tire to country tire and they had it fixed in under 15 minutes! This place doesn't deserve your business do yourself a favor and get a real mechanic to service your vehicles. PS I later found out that the rude old guy who called himself "god of the tire shop" is the manager of the automotive department. How he got this job is a testament to how bad the staff is in the garage.
